Wisbech Accountancy Services – Your Local Accountant
Although we help clients nationwide, our headquarters are in one of the UK’s most beautiful Georgian Towns – Wisbech.
So, if you hate bookkeeping, self-assessment and dealing with HMRC, and you fancy using a local Wisbech accounting service, then A4Accountants are here ready and waiting to do everything for you.
We offer a dependable, reliable and affordable service at rates you will love. Our rates are based on the accounting services we actually do for you, not some arbitrary amount made up to make someone else rich off the back of your hard work.
What Our Customers Say
- It’s why Kristian Downer of DowSocial Ltd chose us.
- It’s why Jamie Johannes of Inspired Martial Arts Ltd chose us.
- It’s why local superhero car valet Adam Dickinson chose us and many more.
You see, we don’t just do your books for you. We keep you updated monthly on where you stand – both from a tax point of view and a sales point of view.
We don’t wait until the last minute to do things for you either, we do your books as soon as it’s humanly possible.
PAYE and VAT
It’s not just bookkeeping and accountancy either. We will also run your PAYE/Payroll including producing wage slips and year end filing – that’s another huge headache out of the way.
And with the new PAYE RTI rules in place – being late for filing PAYE returns results in mandatory fines of £100 (or more depending on how late the RTI returns are for and how much is owed in tax and NIC contributions).
The same applies to late submission of your self-assessment return – and remember, you’re going to need to do one of those even if you’re a company director.
We will also handle your VAT returns (Monthly, Quarterley or Annualy) including entering and compiling your transactions and submitting them to HMRC on your behalf.
In short we are here to remove all the worry from you. Who wants to have to deal with the Inland Revenue when someone else can do it for you at a price you can afford? (our costs are completely transparent – you will always know what you’re paying for, and we will break it down into small monthly payments to make it easier).
And unlike many other accountants, we will save you on tax without telling you that’s why we’re great – we just do that as a matter of course using HMRC fully approved accounting standards.
We’re also an HMRC Registered agent and members of the IAB (International Association of Bookkeepers), one of only 26 UK bodies granted supervisory authority by Parliament in accordance with the Money Laundering Regulations (2007).
What’s Involved With Bookkeeping and Accounting
We charge a fixed monthly fee based on the level of support you require and the level of work. If the work increases we may increase your cost with fair warning, but we will also decrease it if it lessens. So you only pay for what you need, and you will almost certainly pay less than any equivalent local or national accountancy service (because we use state of the art accounting software and in house staff to do everything – without the overhead of expensive and costly offices).
You can find out how we can help you with all your accountancy and HMRC needs very easily by calling us on 01945 588105 during normal office hours (leave a message if outside normal hours and we will get back to you a.s.a.p).
As mentioned, your books are brought up to date in-house – we don’t outsource anything, so you can be assured we do things right.
We cover everything you need from inputting transactions into our cloud based and highly secure accounting system, to weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, to year end processing, HMRC and Companies House submissions, PAYE, VAT filing, and Self-Assessment.
And if you need help with Autoenrolment, we’re there for you too. This is a large and complicated area, but we break that right down for you so it is really simple to understand how to deal with pensions for your and your company staff.
The new Pensions Autoenrolment scheme is overseen by The Pensions Regulator, and if you are an employer, it is mandatory to optin and ensure your workers are covered. There are very few exceptions to this, but we can help you make the right decisions and take the right actions.
If you want to see whether you need to enrol, here’s a link to relevant page: The Pensions Regulator
How We Process Your Accounts and Bookkeeping
You have a number of options, but the simplest and most cost and time effective is to send your receipts electronically. This can be done simply by forwarding everything you get to our dedicated email address. We take care of the rest.
Nowadays, HMRC do not require anyone to keep paper copies of their documents. Everything can be stored electronically, which means less storage is needed in most cases. This applies to invoices for your sales as well as receipts for your purchases.
You can also drop off your documents direct to our office if that’s what you’d prefer, then pick them up again next time when you drop the next pile of paperwork off with us. We’re here to make looking after your books as simple and as friendly as we can.
And because we’re local accountants in Wisbech, that means a short distance for you if you live locally. If you live in Peterborough or any of the surrounding areas of the Fens, then our electronic document service is ideal.
How We Got Started With Our Accountancy Practice In Wisbech and the Fens
Here’s my little known story from a job to a business…
When I started my first company, QPL Express Couriers, I decided to make it more efficient by programming an accounting application.
At the time I was only interested in becoming a rock star! I played guitar in a band (and was very young – 23).
I started that business to keep my band going. The business grew faster than the band, so eventually I gave up the band.
The accounting software morphed into a software company, which morphed again into a bigger software company (Accountz.com).
And by that time I had also passed my various bookkeeping exams and became a Fellow of the International Association of Bookkeepers.
I retired from my software company and decided to help other people start businesses (through TheNumberOneClub.com).
I got the business bug again, and set up a number of small enterprises.
Accounting and Marketing
We have a mass of real world marketing expertise behind us to help you grow your business if you need it.
I grew my last company from zero to 36,000 customers with a staff of 17 full time employees.
My first company ended up with two offices covering Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
I’ve grown an online membership site teaching basic bookkeeping skills to business owners to well over 12,000 members. You can go and sign up right now if you fancy doing this sort of thing yourself. It’s over on AccountingForEveryone.com (the link will open in a new window so you won’t lose your place here).
And most of it has been done on a very strict budget.
So the good news is, if you want someone to do all the donkey work for you when it comes to accountancy, then you’ve definitely come to the right place.
All the best,
